Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has again predicted thunderstorms with lightning at different places in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab. At the same time, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog in different areas of North Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.
People have started shivering due to the biting cold. Dense fog in the morning and evening and cold wave during the day have affected life. People are adopting every trick to avoid the cold. Children and the elderly are avoiding leaving the house. Due to cold, holidays have been declared in the schools of the capital Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Amidst the cold, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert. There is a possibility of cold increasing once again due to rain.
Rain and snowfall, cold will increase
The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of light rain with thunder in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana on Sunday. Heavy rain and snowfall may occur at different places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, cold conditions are likely during the day in different areas of Bihar. On Monday, January 6, there is a possibility of rain with thunder along with lightning at different places in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh.
Flights and trains affected by fog
Fog has affected life. Dense fog prevailed in many states including the capital Delhi on Saturday, due to which traffic systems collapsed badly. The fog had the greatest impact on air and rail travel. More than 400 flights were affected due to fog. At the same time, more than 80 trains were delayed. According to the Meteorological Department, moderate fog prevailed in different areas of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab on Saturday, due to which visibility was recorded at 200 to 500 meters.
How much was the visibility in which city?
The weather department said that the lowest visibility of 200 meters was recorded in Bahraich in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Aligarh in western Uttar Pradesh, Ludhiana and Halwara in Punjab. At the same time, the visibility in Agra, Bareilly, Ballia in UP was 500 meters. 400 meters visibility was recorded in Safdarjung in Delhi, 500 meters in Bihar's capital Patna and Muzaffarpur.
