The district administration has intensified the preparations for nomination for the Dhan Sabha elections. Nomination papers can be filed from September 5 at the SDM offices of Gurgaon, Pataudi, Badshahpur and Sohna from 11 am to 3 pm.

No more than four people should accompany the candidate while filing nomination. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the nomination process for the Assembly elections-2024 will continue from September 5 to 12. Nomination papers will not be taken on Sunday, September 8. According to the rules of the Election Commission, the age of the candidate is 25 years.

Also, the candidate should be a permanent resident of Haryana. It is necessary for his name to be in any assembly voter list of the state. If the candidate belongs to a registered party, then there will be a voter proposer for him.

The candidate of an independent and unrecognized political party should have 10 proposers. If the candidate comes from another district and fills the form for election here, then he will get his voter list verified.

While filling the nomination form, the candidate will have to submit his three latest passport size photographs, a copy of the certificate of educational qualification, a copy of the new bank account opened for the election and an affidavit, which is called Form 26. In this affidavit, the candidate has to give complete details of his movable and immovable property, loan, liability, criminal record.

At the time of nomination, only five people including the candidate should be present in the court premises of the Returning Officer cum SDM. The candidate cannot bring more than three vehicles within 100 meters of the SDM office. The candidate will do all the election transactions from his new bank account.

To keep account of the election, an expense register will be kept with the candidate and one in the election office. A candidate can spend Rs 40 lakh in this election. For nomination, a general candidate will have to deposit a fee of Rs 10,000 and a Scheduled Caste candidate will have to deposit a fee of Rs 5,000.
