Dengue cases are increasing in Haryana

Eight new cases of dengue were found in the district on Monday. Due to which the total number of cases has increased to 243. Due to the increasing number of dengue patients, the demand for single donor platelets (SDP) and random donor (RDP) platelets is increasing.

In view of their increasing demand, the blood bank officials located in the Civil Hospital have ordered kits to extract 50 SDPs. SDP is prepared through these kits. SDP increases the reduced platelets of dengue patients by 30 to 35 thousand. Recently, SDP has been administered to five dengue patients in the Civil Hospital.

New patients found here

Among the new dengue patients found on Monday, a 15-year-old girl from Shiv Nagar, a 31-year-old youth from Chaudhariwas, a 39-year-old girl from Indira Colony, a 20-year-old girl from Mahavir Colony, a 24-year-old girl from Vishwakarma Colony, a 42-year-old man from Azad Nagar have been found infected. Apart from this, a 75-year-old man from Sector-15 and a 39-year-old man from Sector 16-17 have been found infected with dengue.

Stock of SDP kits is also being prepared in private labs

These days the demand for SDP and RDP is increasing in the private labs of the city. Stock of SDP kits is also being prepared in the main private hospitals and private labs located in the city. 40 SDP kits are available in Nalwa lab, while more than 50 kits are available in Mangalam lab. Apart from this, 10 to 20 SDP kits are being kept ready in other labs of the city.
