America alert due to increasing tension
The growing tension between Israel and Hezbollah has made the US cautious. Especially when Hezbollah has threatened Israel with revenge after the pager blasts in its country and has vowed to continue missile attacks. In recent times, Israel has increased its attacks in Lebanon, due to which it is being speculated that after Hamas, Israel can now increase its conflict with Hezbollah. A statement by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has further strengthened this, in which he said that this war has entered a new phase.
In view of this growing tension in the Middle East, the US has also started its preparations. The US has increased its military presence since last year. About 40,000 soldiers, a dozen warships and four fighter jet squadrons have been deployed in the Middle East. These are capable of protecting the US and its allies from any untoward incident. When Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh was asked about the growing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah and whether the US would increase the number of its troops after the recent incidents, she said that there are already enough troops deployed in the Middle East, which is enough to deal with the Islamic State, Houthi rebels and help Israel. A military official said that the additional troops have helped us, as the US is deployed here in various conflict areas, including dealing with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen and helping Israel. The official said that naval warships are scattered throughout the region from the Eastern Mediterranean to the Gulf of Oman, and fighter jets of both the Air Force and Navy are strategically deployed at many places to respond to any attack. Talking about the deployment of the US Army in the Middle East, about 34,000 soldiers are always deployed in the Middle East. Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, their number has increased and currently around 40,000 soldiers are deployed.
After the Houthi attacks, this number increased further and reached around 50,000, but later it was reduced. Currently 40,000 soldiers are deployed in the Middle East. America has also deployed warships in the Middle East, out of which three warships are in the Gulf of Oman, while two submarines are deployed in the Red Sea.
