Savitri Jindal tops the BJP list

Savitri Jindal, mother of Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal, is considered a strong contender for the BJP ticket for the Haryana Assembly elections. She will contest from Hisar Assembly constituency (Haryana Vidhansabha Election 2024). In this way, the ticket of current minister Kamal Gupta has become a crisis.

Yesterday, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini met Naveen Jindal in Delhi. It is known that Savitri Jindal is the richest woman in India. She is the Emeritus Chairperson of Jindal Group, a company involved in steel, power, cement and infrastructure sector.

Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal and his mother Savitri Jindal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in March before the Lok Sabha elections. Savitri Jindal's name is among the richest women in India. In the year 2005, former minister Om Prakash Jindal died in a helicopter crash.

After this, wife Savitri Jindal joined politics. During that time she won the by-election held on Hisar assembly seat. Then in the 2009 assembly elections, she won from the same seat. Savitri has also been the Municipal Corporation Minister in the Congress government.
