NHM employees took out a protest march in the city, begged by distributing pamphlets; placed these demands before the government
The protest of NHM employees is continuing in Haryana. Yesterday, NHM employees shaved their heads and wrote that make NHM permanent and today they distributed pamphlets with their demands written on them and begged. Health services are continuously deteriorating due to the strike of NHM employees. Employees say that they will continue the strike until their demands are met.
The government is not accepting the demands of NHM employees. Employees are also not ready to end the strike. On Tuesday, employees took out a protest march from the Civil Surgeon's office to the residence of MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora. Pamphlets related to the demands were distributed to shopkeepers in the market and begged.
Along with this, NHM employees (NHM Workers Protest) raised slogans against the government. At the same time, condolences were also expressed on the sudden death of an NHM worker in Panipat. Two minutes of silence was observed at the protest site in front of the Civil Surgeon's office.
The strike will continue until the demand is met
NHM Employees Union District President Amit Gurjar said that the strike will continue until their demands are met. Under this, the employees expressed their anger by begging, because the government is not thinking about the welfare of the employees. Employees are not being given service security. The employees have no other way left except agitation. That is why a fury march is being taken out.
These are the main demands of the employees
NHM employees should be regularized. Till regularization, service security should be provided by implementing LTC, gratuity, earned leave, infant care leave, compassionate assistance and Haryana Civil Service Rule 2016.
The in-principle approval to provide the benefit of the Seventh Pay Commission to the NHM employees has been given by the government on November 2, 2021, but Tughlaq decrees have been issued by the Finance Department regarding its consolidation. Those orders should be canceled and the employees should be given the benefit of the Seventh Pay Commission.
These are the main demands
Agitations were carried out by NHM employees from the year 2017 to 2022, the salary for the strike period should be issued like other organizations of the Health Department considering it as duty period.
The employees should be provided the benefit of cashless medical facility.
The discrepancy in the pay scale of many categories in the service rules of the employees should be removed.
The retirement age of Class IV employees engaged under NHM should be 60 years as per the rules of Haryana Government.
The SOP of CHO cadre should be implemented under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The bond practice should be abolished.
