Hooda's batting from Haryana to Delhi

Haryana assembly elections have been completed and the election results are to be declared on 8 October. Before this, after the exit polls, Congress seems to be getting the majority. Due to this, the game has started in the Congress camp for the CM post. Bhupendra Hooda has started batting for the CM post and he is paying special attention to the fact that he should not meet the same fate as Bhajan Lal in 2005.
The results of Haryana assembly elections will be declared on Tuesday, but after the exit polls that came before that, the fortification has intensified. BJP, which has been in power in the state for ten years, is hoping for a miracle this time, but the Congress is in high spirits due to the exit poll estimates. Congress's exile from power in Haryana for ten years seems to be ending, after which the party leaders have their eyes on the CM's chair. In such a situation, Bhupendra Singh Hooda has started political batting from Haryana to Delhi, because he does not want to become 'Bhajan Lal' of 2005? Bhupendra Singh Hooda, who played an active role in Congress' booth management, ticket distribution and campaigning in the Haryana assembly elections, spent the entire day meeting people at his residence in Rohtak on Sunday and kept talking to candidates who were likely to win over the phone. He took reports from each and every Congress candidate. In this way, after spending the whole day among supporters in Rohtak, Bhupendra Hooda has come to Delhi on Sunday. Similarly, Kumari Selja has returned to Delhi after paying obeisance at Salasar Dham in Rajasthan, while Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala has visited Kedarnath Dham.
Game on for CM post in Congress
Congress had not declared any leader as the face for the post of Chief Minister as part of its strategy in Haryana, but Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja and even Randeep Surjewala have been staking their claim. All three leaders are considered close to the Gandhi family and the Congress high command. During the elections, all three Congress leaders have also been publicly expressing their desire to become CM. Hooda has been the CM twice before and is a strong contender for the third time as well. Kumari Selja has met Sonia Gandhi before the voting and now Bhupendra Hooda has also reached Delhi. Even before the election results, Congress leaders have started preparing their fielding.
Selja claimed victory
Kumari Selja has claimed that Congress is getting more than 60 seats in Haryana. In the last ten years, BJP took the state backwards, now the opposite should happen and a people's government should be formed. Every section of Haryana should feel that it is their government. At the same time, Congress MP from Hisar, JP, who is close to Hooda, said that there is a system in Congress for the selection of the Chief Minister's post, recommendations are taken from the MLAs for making the CM. After this, the high command decides who will be the Chief Minister. At present, there is only one leader in the state, who is a mass leader and a leader of the people, his name is Bhupendra Singh Hooda. In such a situation, the Congress leadership will push his name forward.
Bhupendra Hooda does not want to become Bhajan Lal
The way the exit polls have predicted that Congress will win 55 to 60 seats for Haryana elections, if these figures turn into election results, then Congress will be in a position to form the government. That is why Hooda has become active and has started batting in Delhi Darbar. In 2005, the Congress high command had decided to make Bhupendra Singh Hooda the Chief Minister instead of Bhajan Lal. To ensure that the Congress high command does not take a decision on the same lines this time too, Bhupendra Singh Hooda is already fully alert and is engaged in placating the Congress high command as well as the potential winning candidates. In such a situation, the question arises that how Bhajan Lal was played with.
'Played' with Bhajan Lal in 2005
Long before Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Bhajan Lal had established his roots in Haryana politics. Hooda had defeated Devi Lal and become MP three times from 1991 to 1998, but lost in 1999. After this, Bhupendra Hooda once again managed to become a Lok Sabha MP in 2004, at that time the Chief Minister of Haryana was Om Prakash Chautala. Bhajan Lal had made his mark in the Congress as a grassroots leader, because he had been the CM many times while Bhupendra Hooda was an expert in 'drawing room politics'. Even after this, Bhupendra Singh Hooda dashed the hopes of a veteran like Bhajan Lal.
While being a Lok Sabha MP, he had also understood the Congress culture of Delhi very well. Like the old veteran leaders of the Congress, Bhupendra Singh Hooda also used to stay awake till late night and keep meeting people. In this way, Hooda had established his foothold among the leaders close to the Gandhi family. By becoming Narasimha Rao's aide, Bhajanlal had incurred Sonia Gandhi's displeasure, while Hooda had won Sonia Gandhi's favour with the help of leaders like Ahmed Patel and Motilal Vora.
How Hooda changed the game in 2005
Congress had returned to power at the centre in 2004. Manmohan Singh was the PM and Sonia Gandhi was the Congress president. Haryana assembly elections were held in 2005, a year after the Lok Sabha elections. Congress fought the Haryana elections under the leadership of Bhajanlal. When Congress came to power with a majority by winning 67 seats, Bhajanlal was considered a contender for the CM post. Most of the Congress MLAs were supporting Bhajanlal to make him the chief minister. Hooda's name was not even remotely discussed.
