Four specialist OPDs remained closed due to doctors going on strike, protested by raising slogans

In Sonipat, due to the strike by the government doctors, most of the OPDs remained closed in the district civil hospital, CHC and PHC. NHM doctors and senior doctors continued with their OPDs. The OPDs of ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT and skin diseases remained closed in the district civil hospital of Sonipat. Due to this the patients kept waiting for the OPD to open for treatment. Whereas the nursing officers went on strike for two hours from 9 am to 11 am in the civil hospital premises and staged a dharna and raised slogans regarding their demands.

Due to the strike of government doctors, most of the patients were forced to return without getting treatment. Due to the disruption of postmortem services, people faced problems in getting the bodies postmortemed. Three bodies reached the district hospital, out of which the postmortem of only one body could be done by noon. Dental and Ayurveda OPDs remained operational in the hospital.
