Even after the arrival of monsoon in Haryana, there is a lack of rain in seven districts. 75 days of monsoon have passed but there has been no adequate rain. Now only 45 days are left. It is difficult to compensate for the rain in the remaining days. Due to the activity of monsoon in the state, the weather remains good throughout the state.
The duration of monsoon in the state is considered to be 120 to 125 days. 75 days of monsoon have passed. In these days, the performance was good in some places and disappointing in some parts. Nuh, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Jhajjar and Gurugram have received more than normal rainfall, while the rest of the districts still have a lack of rain.
Excessive rainfall is lacking in seven districts. Overall, there is a 19 percent rainfall deficit in the state so far. So far, only 228.4 mm of rain has been received in the state against 281.5 mm. Seven districts have one-fourth less rainfall
According to the Meteorological Department, Kaithal and Karnal have so far recorded 55 percent less rainfall than normal. Panchkula has recorded 50 percent less rainfall than normal, Yamunanagar and Sonipat have recorded 39 percent less rainfall than normal, Rohtak has recorded 36 percent and Jind has recorded 38 percent less rainfall.
Yellow alert in 9 districts in the next 24 hours
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat and Palwal in the next 24 hours. After that the weather may clear up. Monsoon is likely to become active once again from August 20.
