A shameful incident has come to light in Balasore, Odisha. In Mahapada village here, villagers tied an Anganwadi worker to a tree on the charge of not providing food to the children every day in an Anganwadi centre. The matter did not end here, that female worker was also beaten brutally. This incident is of September 19. The video of which is becoming very viral. The name of the victim woman is being told as Urmila Samal.
Now the Deputy CM has promised action regarding this matter. Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida met the victim Urmila Samal and assured her of full medical assistance and security. Parida also contacted the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) and the Superintendent of Police and urged for immediate action and a thorough investigation of the case.
