Congress' Central Election Committee meeting was held to discuss ticket allocation for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. In the meeting, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi discussed about the possibilities of INDIAA contesting elections together. The Central Election Committee meeting was held at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi.

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's statement, former Haryana CM and Congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that they can give only 3-4 seats to Aam Aadmi Party, but they are demanding more than that, so it is difficult to form an alliance.

Bhupendra Hooda will contest from Garhi Sampla Kiloi constituency while state president Udaybhan will be fielded from Hodal constituency. During the meeting, the party did not discuss the possible candidature of Vinesh Phogat and Rajya Sabha MPs Kumari Selja and Randeep Surjewala.

What did Babaria say on Vinesh Phogat contesting elections?

He said that 49 seats were discussed and names have been finalised on 34 of them. 15 seats have been sent for review. Out of 34 seats, 22 are the seats of sitting MLAs. The pending names will be approved in the next 2-3 days. He said that we will also clarify about Vinesh Phogat.
