In the first round of the Duleep Trophy, a match was played between India A and India B in Bengaluru. Sarfaraz played for India B in this match. His team defeated India A, captained by Shubman Gill, by 76 runs. Sarfaraz scored a total of 55 runs in this match. In the first innings, Sarfaraz Khan made 9 runs in 35 balls and fell prey to Avesh Khan. In the second innings, he smashed 46 runs in 36 balls. Now in the second round, his team will face India C.

A debate is going on about Sarfaraz Khan and KL Rahul against Bangladesh. According to media reports, Rahul will be given a chance in place of Sarfaraz in the first Test match. Actually, Team India has to play a 5-match Test series against Australia later this year. KL Rahul has experience of playing on foreign pitches. He has also performed well on foreign soil. He scored a brilliant century on the tour of South Africa. At the same time, before getting injured, he scored 86 runs in his last Test in Hyderabad. According to the PTI report, the selectors want the main players of the team to get ample match practice before the important series.
