Paris Paralympics 2024
Paris Olympics-2024 were historic for India in many ways. While the shooters did wonders, many other players may not have won medals, but definitely left a mark with their game. Now it is the turn of Paralympics Games, where India's largest contingent is participating so far. Team India would like to break all its old records in these games starting from 29 August. India had won 19 medals in Tokyo Paralympics-2020, out of which five were gold.
A total of 4,400 players are participating in these games which will last for 11 days. The opening ceremony of these games is to be held today. Bhagyashree Jadhav, who won silver medal for the country in Asia Para Games, and javelin star Sumit Antil will be the flagbearers in this ceremony.

A total of 84 players from India will participate in these games. Till now so many players from the country have never gone to Paralympics. This is India's largest contingent till date. Last time 54 players represented India in Tokyo.
