Team India's star player Virat Kohli is considered the greatest player of modern cricket. At the same time, when it comes to Test format, Joe Root's name is at the forefront these days. It is believed that Root can also break the record of scoring the most runs in Tests. Amidst all this, former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly has made a big prediction. He has named the player who can become the greatest Test player in the coming times. Sourav Ganguly has predicted that Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant can be included among the all-time great players of Test cricket. Ganguly said during a promotional event, 'I consider Rishabh Pant to be one of the best Test batsmen in India. I am not surprised by his return to Test cricket. He will continue to play Test cricket for India. If he continues to perform like this, he will be included among the all-time great players of Test cricket. I believe that he needs to perform better in the shorter format. He is talented and I am sure he will be able to do so soon.'

Pant has been included in the Indian Test team for the first time since he was injured in a car accident in December 2022. He has been selected in the team for the Test series to be played against Bangladesh. At the same time, it is expected that he will be included in the playing 11 for the first Test match against Bangladesh starting in Chennai from September 19.

Mohammad Shami was not included in the team due to ankle operation but Ganguly is confident that the fast bowler will be fully fit before the Australian tour later this year. He said, 'I know Mohammed Shami is not included in the team due to injury but he will return soon as India has to tour Australia. India's attack is very good right now.'

Ganguly further said, 'I am looking forward to India's tour of Australia. The real test of the team will be there. After this the team has to tour England in July and both these tours will be very important. The presence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj and the return of Shami will strengthen the Indian fast bowling attack.
