Due to this decision of Jai Shah, Team India will win everywhere from Australia to South Africa
The new season of BCCI will start from September. With this, domestic and international matches will start. The Indian team is going to start the season with a home series against Bangladesh. Its first Test match will be played from 19 September. However, Team India players have to do two foreign tours in November.
After the T20 series against South Africa, a 5-match Test series is to be played against Australia. For a long time, Indian players have been facing difficulties in playing on foreign soil.
However, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has now found a solution to this. He has built a ground where foreign conditions will be available for practice and preparations can be made to play on those pitches in our own country.
3 grounds and 100 pitches prepared
While talking to the media in Mumbai, Jai Shah has revealed the plan of BCCI. He told that the High Performance Center of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore was a big project of the board.
This project is almost complete and is to be inaugurated next month. Under this project, 3 grounds have been prepared, in which 100 pitches and 45 indoor turfs have been made.
The most special thing about this center is that the pitches here have been made like the conditions on all foreign lands including Australia and South Africa. This will benefit the players of the Indian team. They will be able to practice here before going on any foreign tour.
High Performance Center was ready in 5 years
According to the BCCI secretary, the land for this project was acquired in Bengaluru in 2008 itself. However, none of the officials who came before him used it.
Because of this, despite the board having sufficient money, the National Cricket Academy had to be run from the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The facilities here were not available as per the needs of the Indian cricket team. In 2019, he laid its foundation during his first term.
However, due to Covid, the work could not be done properly for 2 years. At the same time, when he was given a second term in 2022, he got this project completed.
