Haryana News: Now teachers can get state award after 10 years of service, 14 teachers will be honored every year

In Haryana, teachers can now be awarded state awards after 10 years of service. Teachers will be given this award for doing excellent work. Till now, this award was evaluated only after 15 years of service. Now, every year 14 teachers will be given state awards. Awarded teachers will be presented with a citation and shawl along with one lakh rupees.

Teachers working in state universities, government colleges and government-aided private colleges in Haryana will now be eligible for state awards after 10 years of service. Till now, evaluation for awards was done on the basis of 15 years of service only.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved the amendment in the policy of state awards for outstanding services. In the new policy, the condition of 15 years for evaluating the services of teachers has been reduced by five years to 10 years. This decision will also give new teachers a chance to receive the award.

14 teachers will be awarded every year
Every year a total of 14 teachers will be awarded state awards. In this, two awards will be given to teachers of state universities coming under the purview of higher education, eight to teachers of government colleges and four to teachers of government aided private colleges. The award winners will be given one lakh rupees, a letter of appreciation and a shawl.

Awards will be given in these faculties
Under the state university, one award will be given to teachers of science, engineering and technology, health sciences, commerce and management faculty and one award will be given to teachers of humanities and social science faculty. Two awards will be given to teachers of science faculty of government college, four to teachers of language, humanities and social science faculty and two to teachers of commerce and management faculty.
