The second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show has been announced on OTT. The show is aired on Netflix through which it reached 192 countries. The last season was its debut on OTT.

13 episodes came in the first season

A total of 13 episodes came in the first season, after which it was taken off air for some time because the actors were busy in other projects. The first episode was streamed on 30 March 2024, while the last episode was aired on 22 June 2024.

Now recently, Rajiv Thakur, who was seen in the character of Chandan on the show, has talked about the popularity of the show. In an interview given to Tele Masala, Rajiv was asked why the show did not perform as well on OTT after TV? On this, Rajiv said, 'People have a misconception that the show did not work. Perhaps everyone is able to watch TV, that's why it is being said. But if it had not run on Netflix, the second season would not have come. They are very professional, it is an outside company and they only look at figures.'

He further said, 'Those figures are very big. Kapil Sharma's fans have subscribed to Netflix to watch the show.' Recently Netflix shared a video through which season 2 was announced. Kapil, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Rajiv Thakur were seen in it. It has not been decided yet on which day it will be telecast.
