The rape and murder of a junior doctor in West Bengal on August 9 has shaken the entire country. Justice is being demanded from every corner of the country. 

Protests are also being held in Kolkata. Along with these protests, people have also raised their voice on social media regarding this incident, including many Bollywood celebrities. 

Preity Zinta, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Genelia D'Souza, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan have expressed their disappointment over this incident, while now Twinkle Khanna has also shared her reaction in this matter.

While the whole country was celebrating the 78th Independence Day, a corner of the country was demanding justice. A 31-year-old junior doctor was first raped and then murdered at RG Kar Hospital and College in Kolkata. Meanwhile, famous actress and writer Twinkle Khanna has raised her voice and shared a post for her 12-year-old daughter.

"You may never come back"

Twinkle shared a post on her official Instagram handle and wrote, "It's been 50 years since I've been in this country and even today I'm teaching my daughter the same things I was taught in my childhood. I was told not to go out alone. Be it a park, school or a beach. 

Never go out alone with a man, whether he's your uncle, cousin or a friend. Don't go alone because here it's not a matter of if, but when. Don't go alone because you may never come back."

She has put the tricolour in the background of this message. Many people have reacted to Twinkle's post and raised their voice on the Kolkata rape-murder case. 

Some wrote in the comments that they have related a lot to this post, because such things happen in their lives too and some have called this barbarity disappointing. 

Twinkle Khanna has tried to convey this message to the people by giving the example of her daughter, Twinkle's daughter Nitara is currently 12 years old. 

Many celebrities have linked this incident with the Nirbhaya murder case. Apart from Twinkle, many other people have given their message on the condition of women after 78 years of independence.

What is the whole matter of Kolkata?

On 9 August 2024, a 31-year-old junior doctor was murdered in RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. During the post-mortem of the body, a case of rape also came to light. 

The doctor's body was found in a very bad condition, some bones of her body were broken, glass pieces were found in her eyes, there were injury marks on many parts of her body. Since this incident came to light, thousands of women are demanding justice by holding protests and candle marches.
