Samsung is preparing to make a big change in its upcoming smartphone series Galaxy S26. This phone can be launched in early 2026. The company can make a big upgrade in terms of AI. Till now Samsung has been using Google's Gemini AI in its devices, but now the company is thinking of joining hands with other AI providers like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Perplexity AI.

Samsung's big plan

According to a Bloomberg report, Samsung's Mobile Experience Division President and COO Choi Won-joon said that the company wants to give users the freedom to choose an AI agent. He is talking to many companies. Whichever AI agent gives the best experience, they will include it. This means that in Galaxy S26, users will be able to decide for themselves whether they want to use ChatGPT, Google Gemini or any other AI tool.

Deal with Perplexity?

AI is becoming quite popular for search engines. Samsung's talks with the company Perplexity have progressed. According to reports, Samsung is preparing to make a deal with it. If this deal happens, then the features of Perplexity can be integrated into the Samsung Internet browser.

Bixby Voice Assistant can also be made powerful with AI. An AI Agents app can come in which users will be able to choose from many voice assistants.

Will the pressure increase from Apple's foldable iPhone?

Samsung may get another big challenge in 2026. Apple's first foldable iPhone can put Samsung under pressure. According to reports, Apple's foldable device will use Samsung Display's screen, which will be crease free i.e. without bend marks.

This will be a kind of supply chain growth for Samsung, but it will have to work faster in terms of software and innovation.
