Reliance Industries has given bonus shares to shareholders six times so far. For the first time, bonus shares were given to shareholders in 1980 in the ratio of 3:5. At the same time, the highest bonus share was given in 1983 in the ratio of 6:10. After this, bonus shares were given in 1:1 ratio in 1997, 2009 and 2017. Today also the board meeting has announced to give bonus shares in 1:1 ratio.
