Along with this, there is a possibility of rain, hail and lightning in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan. An alert has been issued for snowfall in hilly areas.

Many states of the country are in the grip of dense fog. Snowfall continues in the mountains as well. The severe cold has affected the lives of people. The Meteorological Department says that the cold will increase further. With the drop in temperature, people will have to face rain, fog and hail. The phase of snowfall will continue along with rain in the hilly states. That is, people are not yet seen getting relief from the chilling cold. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of sporadic hailstorm in western Rajasthan on Saturday. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh.

From Delhi-NCR to the entire North India is wrapped in dense fog. The Meteorological Department has said that the fog situation will continue for now. For this, a yellow alert has been issued in Delhi-NCR on Saturday. Traffic resources have been deeply affected due to fog. The speed of vehicles has come to a halt. At the same time, rail and air travel have been affected. Due to fog, long distance trains are running late by several hours, due to which passengers have to face severe cold at railway stations. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of more dense fog.

Dense fog will prevail here
According to the Meteorological Department, dense to very dense fog is likely to persist in the night and morning in some parts of the capital Delhi, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh on January 12 and 13. Fog will prevail in some areas of Uttar Pradesh till January 15. Dense fog is likely to persist in eastern Rajasthan on January 12 and 13, and in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh on January 14 and 15 during the night and morning. There is a possibility of dense fog in western Rajasthan on Saturday and Sunday, eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, sub-Himalayan West Bengal Sikkim during January 11 to 13, Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya on January 12.

Today there will be lightning and hailstorm in some places
The Meteorological Department says that on Saturday there is a possibility of dense fog in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, western Rajasthan, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya and some areas of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during night and morning. Apart from this, there is a possibility of thunderstorms with hailstorms and lightning at some places in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, there is a possibility of lightning at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and eastern Madhya Pradesh.

The temperature will fall, the cold will increase
The Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in cold in the coming days. According to IMD, the minimum temperature in North-West India has increased by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during the next 3 days, but now it is likely to gradually fall by 2-4 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature in Central India increased by 3-4 degree Celsius, now here too there is a possibility of gradual fall of about 2 degree Celsius. There is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature in East India during the next 24 hours. But it is likely to increase by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next 4 days.
