Vinesh Phogat left her job in the Railways and joined Congress

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat joined the Congress on Friday. Along with her, Bajrang Punia also joined the party. There is speculation that Congress may give a ticket to Vinesh in the Haryana assembly elections.

Earlier, before joining the Congress, Vinesh Phogat resigned from her railway job. Giving information about this, she wrote on X, 'Serving the Indian Railways has been a memorable and proud time. At this juncture of my life, I have decided to separate myself from the railway service and have submitted my resignation to the competent authorities of the Indian Railways.'

She wrote that I will always be grateful to the Indian Railways family for this opportunity given. It is worth noting that Vinesh Phogat was working as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Level 7 in Northern Railway. She was recruited under the sports quota. If we talk about how much salary she used to get, then according to an order of the Railways, a level seven employee is given a salary of 4600 grade pay under Pay Band 2.

At the same time, according to Glassdoor and various media reports, OSD in Railways gets a salary of lakhs. According to Glassdoor's estimate, the salary of OSD is up to 15-17 lakhs annually. However, this cannot be officially confirmed. However, Vinesh Phogat has resigned from her job and is now ready to start a new political innings.
