Shock to BJP before voting in Haryana

Voting for the assembly elections in Haryana is to be held on Saturday (5 October), and the election campaign for this is in its last phase. But the trend of leaders changing sides continues till the last day of the election campaign. A day before, on Wednesday, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate in Haryana changed sides and joined the Congress. On the last day of the election campaign, Ashok Tanwar also changed sides. Tanwar left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in just 8 months and joined the Congress again.
BJP leader Ashok Tanwar joined the Congress on Thursday in the presence of Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda in Mahendragarh district of Haryana.
He was campaigning in favor of BJP
He posted, "Addressed the rally organized yesterday in favor of BJP candidate Randhir Parihar from Nalwa assembly constituency. Randhir ji will win by a huge margin and for the third time, a government will be formed in Haryana under the leadership of Nayab Singh Saini." Claimed that BJP government will be formed for the third time
Earlier on January 20 this year, Ashok Tanwar joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. He contested on a BJP ticket from Sirsa seat during the Lok Sabha elections held in April-May. However, he had to face defeat by a margin of more than 2.50 lakh votes at the hands of Congress veteran Kumari Selja.
Taking a dig at Ashok Tanwar's joining the Congress, Congress leader Pawan Khera said that poor Khattar ji, while telling beautiful stories of getting our Dalit leaders included in the BJP, lost his own Dalit leader.
Ashok Tanwar, who is counted among the sharp young leaders of Haryana, has been the President of the State Congress Committee in Haryana. He has also been a Lok Sabha MP from Sirsa and Secretary of the All India Congress Committee. Tanwar has also been the former President of the Indian Youth Congress and NSUI. He was the youngest person to become the President of the Indian Youth Congress.
Ashok Tanwar, who started student politics from Delhi's prestigious JNU, won the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Sirsa seat in Haryana on a Congress party ticket by a margin of over 3.54 lakh votes. However, he lost to Charanjit Singh Rori of the Indian National Lok Dal as a Congress party candidate in the 2014 general elections. In the 2024 elections, he contested on a BJP ticket, but this time too he lost.
