There has been a new twist in the case of thousands of pager blasts in Lebanon. News agency Reuters has quoted sources as saying that Israel's intelligence agency Mossad had planted explosives in 5000 pagers before they reached Lebanon. It is being told that Mossad had planted 3 grams of explosives in each pager.

Thousands of people were injured in sudden pager blasts in Lebanon and Syria on Tuesday. Hezbollah has blamed Israel for this attack and has said that it will definitely punish Israel for this. It said in a statement issued on Wednesday morning that it will continue its normal attacks against Israel as before, while on Thursday Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah will also give a statement in the pager blast case.

Iran's ambassador Mojtaba Amani has also been injured in the pager blast in Lebanon, according to information, he has lost one of his eyes. Iran has also blamed Israel for the pager blast. Lebanon's Health Minister has said that the death toll in the pager blast has risen to 12, including 2 children. According to the minister, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria and Egypt have offered help in treating the patients. According to Beirut Airport officials, an Iraqi military plane landed in Beirut on Wednesday with a team of doctors and some medical equipment. This plane had 15 tons of medicines and medical equipment.

At the same time, American newspaper The New York Times has claimed that Israel has briefed American officials about this operation after the attack. Israel has told America that before this new batch of pagers reached Lebanon, it was able to break into the supply chain and explosives were planted near the battery in each pager.

According to media reports, an American official said on the condition of anonymity that Israel had informed America about this after the completion of the operation on Tuesday. Israel said that a small amount of explosives was hidden in the pager and then it was detonated.
