Olympics 2024 Shooting: President and PM congratulate Manu Bhaker on winning bronze, ends 12-year drought in shooting
Sunday 29 July was a day of joy for India at the Paris Olympics. Manu Bhaker created history by winning the bronze medal in the shooting finals on the second day. Manu Bhaker became the first Indian female shooter to win a medal in shooting at the Olympics. Rajvardhan Bindra became the fifth Indian shooter to win a medal after Gagan and Vijay. Korean players won gold and silver medals. Manu Bhaker became the first Indian woman and fourth player to win an Olympic medal in shooting.
