BJP wrote a letter to the commission to change the date of Haryana elections
The bugle for the assembly elections in Haryana has been sounded. Meanwhile, BJP has written a letter to the Election Commission of India to change the date of the election. Former Chief Minister of the state Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Congress leader have reacted to this. They said that BJP is accepting its defeat before the elections.
Bhupendra Hooda said that the elections have been announced and it has been more than a week since its announcement. This means that BJP wants to postpone the elections. BJP is accepting defeat even before the elections. We want the Election Commission to conduct the elections on time.
'Vote percentage will decrease'
BJP argued that it is 28 September (Saturday) and 29 September (Sunday). Government and private institutions remain closed on these days. Voting will take place in the state on 1 October. Therefore, there will be a holiday on this day. Gandhi Jayanti is on 2 October. There will be a national holiday on this day.
Only 30 September is free. People can take one day off and go out for a five-day holiday. In such a situation, there will be a huge decrease in the vote percentage.
Why did BJP write a letter to the Commission
On extending the date of the election, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that our BJP state president Mohan Lal Baroli took this decision in consultation with other political parties. Only after this, a letter has been written to the Election Commission to extend the date of the election.
So that the vote percentage can be increased. Because there are continuous holidays in the meantime, so this letter has been written so that the vote percentage does not decrease.
