BJP takes action against rebels in Haryana
Before the Haryana assembly elections, BJP has taken strict action against rebel candidates. The party has expelled eight leaders involved in anti-party activities from the party. In a statement issued by the party, it has been said that eight leaders contesting elections against party candidates have been expelled from the party for six years.
The eight leaders who have been expelled from the party by the Bharatiya Janata Party include Ranjit Singh Chautala, who was a minister in the government of acting Chief Minister Naib Saini.
Apart from this, the party has also shown the way to former minister Bachchan Singh Arya and Devendra Kadian, who is contesting as an independent from Ganaur assembly. Earlier, Congress had expelled 24 rebels who were contesting elections by rebelling against the party candidates.
The 8 rebels who have been expelled from the party by Haryana BJP. Apart from these three leaders, Jilaram Sharma from Assandh, Bachchan Singh Arya from Safidon, Sandeep Garg from Ladwa, Naveen Goyal from Gurugram, Radha Ahlawat from Meham, and Kehar Singh Rawat from Hathin are included. All these rebel leaders have been expelled from the party for 6 years.
In the Haryana assembly elections, BJP had released the list of 67 candidates in the first list, but the party did not give ticket to Ranjit Singh Chautala. Shishpal Kamboj was made the candidate in his place. Angry with this, Ranjit Singh Chautala had announced to contest the election as an independent candidate from Rania assembly seat.
Similarly, Mannat Group Hotels chairman Devendra Kadian was demanding a ticket from Ganaur assembly seat, but the party declared Devendra Kaushik as the candidate from this seat. Angry with this, Kadian has become an independent candidate from Ganaur seat.
Annoyed at not getting a ticket from Meham constituency, Radha Ahlawat is contesting the election as an independent. Radha Ahlawat's husband Shamsher Kharkada had joined BJP from INLD, this time he had demanded a ticket for his wife Radha Ahlawat, but the party has made former captain of Indian Kabaddi team Deepak Hooda the candidate. Due to which he is angry. In such a situation, the party has tried to give a strong message by taking strict action against the rebel candidates a week before the elections.
